Delphi DCR is a Digital Character Recognition program (more popular with Optical Character Recognition [OCR] name) to translate a typewritten or handwritten text in image format (like bitmap file) into an editable text format (like text file). It also has a feature to learn patterns from installed font or handwriting and classify them to specified classes using backpropagation neural net. Note that the DCR has not been trainet yet. You have to train it first before it can be used to recognize any text. To train it, open the training form, select patterns from the font, character and size list (hold down shift or ctrl to select multiple items) or draw a pattern on the left picture box, press the Add button and then press the Train button.
